Emil Kraepelin?

Hi,
does anyone know how Kraepelin defined dementia in his textbook of psychiatry? it's something to do with young, rare, degenerative subject..just wondered if anyones ever seen the exact quote!thanks!
Answer:
“Dementia Praecox consists of a series of clinical states which have as their common characteristic a peculiar destruction of the internal connections of the psychic personality with the most marked damage of the emotional life and volition.”Kraepelin gave this definition of the illness, in the eighth edition of his book (1913).In his fourth edition, (1893), Kraepelin had defined Dementia Praecox, under the heading of ‘Psychic Degenerative Processes’. "This group of illnesses was characterised by a progressive and irreversible deterioration of intellectual function, typically in young people."
No sorry.
